This project aims to empower 100 refugee and host community women in the Bidibidi Refugee Settlement in Yumbe, Uganda, by equipping them with practical vocational skills and business development support. The initiative focuses on enhancing livelihoods, promoting economic self-reliance, and reducing dependence on humanitarian aid.

Women will receive training in marketable skills such as soap making, tailoring, hairdressing, baking, beekeeping, and agribusiness, alongside essential business skills including financial literacy, record keeping, marketing, and customer care. Mentorship and advisory support will further strengthen their capacity to start and manage sustainable businesses.

The project will also establish women’s networks to encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing, while a strong monitoring and evaluation system will track progress and ensure accountability. Protection measures will be integrated to safeguard participants’ wellbeing.

Overall, the initiative seeks to create sustainable income opportunities and build resilience among women.
