Fight against Human Trafficking

  Combating Human Trafficking in Karamoja

From January 30 to February 4, 2025, JPIIJPC joined Africa Faith and Justice Network (AFJN) on a follow-up visit to Matany, Karamoja, to assess progress in combating child trafficking. Activities included community visits, a radio talk show, and meetings with local leaders and the Moroto Diocese’s Women and Equal Opportunities Desk. The visit revealed encouraging grassroots progress, increased community engagement, and strategic partnerships, despite ongoing challenges like child exploitation, insecurity, and limited access to basic services. The growing local voice, especially through radio and community participation, offered hope for sustained change.
