Farm Visit in Gayaza to promote environmental preservation and food security  

The Centre, in collaboration Laudato Youth Initiative visited Avail Fruits of Faith Farm, a demonstration farm in Gayaza to gain hands-on experience in sustainable agriculture, climate change mitigation, and environmental conservation. Participants explored various farming techniques, including nursery bed preparation, fish farming, flower and vegetable cultivation, and compound management. Key lessons included the importance of organic farming, water conservation, afforestation, and renewable energy in promoting sustainability. The visit enhanced knowledge, strengthened collaboration, and inspired potential agricultural initiatives. It is recommended to organize more visits, conduct training sessions, explore partnerships, and encourage youth engagement in climate action and ecological stewardship.
